From this week (week commencing January 14th, 2013) Nestlé Confectionery will be putting consumers in the driving seat once again with the launch of a brand new KitKat Choose a Chunky Champion campaign.
KitKat Choose a Chunky Champion follows on from the first and enormously successful campaign at the beginning of 2012 which proved to be a huge hit with retailers and shoppers alike. It was the biggest confectionery singles event ever for Nestlé Confectionery with over 600k votes cast on Facebook, 11 million bars sold and very importantly drove penetration by adding 200k new young consumers into the category.
Choose a Chunky Champion promises to be even bigger and better. With four delicious new limited edition flavours to choose from consumers will be encouraged to try each KitKat Chunky flavour before casting their vote on a dedicated Facebook page across a longer 8 week voting period.
KitKat Chunky flavour with the most votes by 15 March 2013 will be crowned the winner and unveiled as the nation’s new Chunky Champion. The winner will then become a permanent part of the KitKat range joining the 2012 winner – KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter.

Backed by a huge £5m media campaign across TV, digital, outdoor, radio and mobile the KitKat Choose a Chunky Champion campaign allows consumers to vote for their favourite across a number of various different media platforms including Blippar and Shazam.
