Sharing is caring

Since 1936, Quality Street has been held a special place in the heart of the nation. Whether you share a tin at Christmas, pass around a box at a birthday or simply buy a pouch for your own enjoyment – Quality Street is right there with you.

Meet The Street

There are 11 varieties of Quality Street in the range, all with their own tasty story to tell. You might opt for the classic The Green Triangle or perhaps you would prefer a newer addition such as Strawberry Delight – the choice is yours.

In a category first, Quality Street has moved to paper-based packaging.

Quality Street aim to remove over 2 billion pieces of packaging material by 2023 in the move to recyclable wrappers, as part of their journey to make all Quality Street packaging recyclable.

You will start to see some new paper wrappers in packs, but the delicious sweets inside remain unchanged!

Developed by packaging experts at Nestlé's research and development centre in York, the innovate design recycles with ease by using a special vegetable oil-based coating for the paper, which will break down naturally during the recycling process.

Nine out of the 11 Quality Street sweets will move to paper-based packaging. The Orange Crunch and the Green Triangle will remain in their existing foil wrappers, which can be recycled when bundled together with identical material.

We're proud that this major packaging innovation has been pioneered by our factories here in the UK and to be taking huge steps forward towards Nestlé's 2025 sustainability commitment.

The Street must go on

Most confectionery production comes to a halt due to the war. Quality Street continues, but with fewer sweets. Wartime shortages led to one permanent change: The Purple One's Brazil nut became a hazelnut. To this day, the sweet is shaped like a Brazil nut.
