Our Road to Net Zero
In 2019, we announced our ambition to reach net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 at the latest. In 2026, we updated our timebound plan, the Nestle Roots of Net Zero, which underpins our Group’s climate strategy and acts as our transition plan aligned with a 1.5°C pathway as validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
These are some of the steps we’re taking to reduce emissions across our value chain:
- Working with suppliers, farmers and customers to embed regenerative agricultural practices in our supply chains.
- Investing in innovative sustainable solutions across logistics, packaging and manufacturing to reduce the impact of these activities.
- Working in the regions where we source raw materials from to reduce the risk of deforestation, and helping to restore natural ecosystems such as forests, wetlands and peatlands to encourage biodiversity, sequester carbon and generate additional benefits for local communities.
- Increasing the use of renewable energy in our factories and adopting low emission fuels for our logistics activities.
