There’s even a Decision Support Department specifically to help businesses with management reporting. And the roles range from business partners to factory controllers, to controllers of functions such as Supply Chain or Sales.

I qualified as a chartered accountant in Glasgow and after having spent some time in practice with both a small and large company, I made the move into industry. I spent 6 years as finance director of a small start up construction company before joining Nestlé in 2010. Nestlé has been the first company who have recognised me for being me and I have been given the most amazing opportunities to grow and develop. Not every day has been easy but I know that I always have someone there to support me.
Working within the finance function is super insightful as not only do we support all the other functions through business partnering but also challenge the narrative where needed in order to help paint a true reflection of performance.
