Nestlé’s new version of its iconic four finger KitKat has hit Irish shores, available exclusively at Tesco Ireland.
Chocolate lovers rejoice; KitKat Ruby is made with a chocolate called Ruby, commonly known as the fourth type of chocolate after dark, milk and white.
KitKat Ruby offers a brand new taste experience. The crispy four-finger wafer bar is coated with Ruby chocolate, derived from Ruby cocoa beans, which has an intense berry-fruitiness taste without the addition of any flavour or colour.
Ruby chocolate has been attracting huge interest from chocolate connoisseurs throughout the world since its announcement last year and now KitKat fans in Ireland are able to get their hands on it.
The launch of a breakthrough innovation like KitKat made with Ruby chocolate underlines Nestlé’s commitment to developing new, innovative products to help grow its leading confectionery brands around the world.

“We know that a new type of KitKat is a really big deal and we are very excited to be able to offer a whole new type of chocolate for KitKat fans to try.
“After the extremely successful launch of KitKat Chocolatory Sublime Ruby in Japan and South Korea, this is the first time the Ruby chocolate will be available in an iconic four finger format and we are sure that the Ruby chocolate KitKat will be a great hit in Ireland.
“Ruby chocolate is a big innovation in confectionery and we are very proud that KitKat is the first major brand in Ireland to feature this exciting new chocolate.”
Ruby chocolate was created by Swiss chocolatier Barry Callebaut, which spent over a decade developing this innovative flavour, creating a fourth kind of chocolate to add to the traditional varieties of dark, milk and white.
This unique four finger KitKat made with Ruby chocolate will be available exclusively in Tesco Ireland from 25th July.
KitKat is one of Nestlé’s leading confectionery brands and has a unique mix of heritage and innovation. It was first manufactured in 1935 and, since then, has been delighting fans all over the world.
