Nestlé is proud to once again be the headline sponsor of the Dalston Show, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to support local charities, bring people together, and invest in the communities around its Dalston factory. Our Nestle Dalston factory has been making milk based products since 1962. Dalston is the perfect spot as it's close to dairy farms which provide the fresh milk for the perfect Nescafé cappuccinos - we make 25 million of them every week!

As one of Cumbria’s most-loved community events, the Dalston Show attracts thousands of visitors each year and plays an important role in raising funds for local causes. Nestlé has been a proud supporter of the event for nearly 40 years, helping to celebrate the region’s rich agricultural heritage while supporting the organisations that make a difference to local families.

This year, Nestlé dedicated its fundraising to vital funds to Eden Valley Hospice & Jigsaw, supporting both its adult and children’s hospice services. Two thousand pound was raised to help the hospice continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families when they need it most.

Staffed by volunteers from Nestlé Dalston, the Nestlé tipi welcomed the first 200 visitors with free samples of delicious frothy coffee products. Outside the main tent, Nestlé Dalston’s branded coffee trailer served freshly prepared coffee, creating a welcoming hub for showgoers throughout the event. All proceeds from coffee and confectionery sales were donated to charity, helping to support a worthy cause.

Visitors also had the chance to take part in a raffle featuring a range of fantastic prizes, including Nestlé favourites. Younger visitors were equally well catered for, with a dedicated craft corner and a host of fun activities designed to keep children entertained throughout the day.

Families also had the opportunity to meet Daisy the Cow, one of the event’s perennial favourites, with children invited to try their hand at milking her using coloured water.

Naomi Foster, Site Administration & Communications Officer at Nestlé, said: "The Dalston Show is one of the highlights of my year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see the community come together, celebrate everything that makes this area so special, and support causes that are incredibly important to local people.

"As a business with deep roots in Dalston, we are proud to continue supporting the show and helping to raise funds for Eden Valley & Jigsaw Hospice. It’s always wonderful to see so many people enjoying our products, taking part in our activities and helping us make a positive difference in the community."

Emma Rogerson, Partnerships Lead at Eden Valley Hospice & Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice, said: "We are delighted that Nestlé has chosen to continue its long-standing support of both the Dalston Show and our hospice. Community events like this play a vital role in helping us raise funds and awareness throughout the year, enabling us to continue providing essential care and support to local families.

"We are incredibly grateful for Nestlé’s ongoing partnership and commitment to the community. Their support, alongside the generosity of everyone attending the show, helps us make a real difference to the lives of those who rely on our services."
