Embrace Veganuary with Nestlé plant-based products

embrace-veganuary-header

The trend for plant-based food is continuing to grow. Many people in the UK plan to incorporate more plant-based food into their diets, with one in five wanting to switch to more plant-based meat alternatives in the coming months*.

Veganuary is a great opportunity to take inspiration and make a change, whether it is for personal wellbeing, sustainability or just simply wanting to try something new.

Nestlé UK and Ireland is supporting Veganuary 2022 with a growing range of vegan friendly products and an exciting selection of vegetarian and dairy free recipes to help people who are choosing to follow flexitarian and vegan diets.

We are proud to have an amazing range of plant-based products like Garden Gourmet, Wunda, Carnation, Nescafé vegan lattes and coffee pods and vegan cereals - that deliver on taste, texture and nutrition. They are delicious and convenient for helping to make your day more plant-based, whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner with friends and family.

Garden Gourmet

From succulent meat-free burgers to tender and flavoursome vegan fillet pieces, the Garden Gourmet Sensational range offers nutritious and delicious meat substitutes for food lovers looking to cut down on meat but not wanting to compromise on taste.

The Garden Gourmet products are high in protein and are a source of fibre. The brand has also committed to be carbon neutral by the end of 2022.

In addition to supermarkets, the Garden Gourmet Sensational Burger and the Garden Gourmet Cumberland Sausage are served at 800 Premier Inn hotels and their 400 associated Whitbread restaurants on both their breakfast menu, and as a plant-based alternative to the sausage & mash in selected restaurants.

Subway UK uses the Garden Gourmet brand as the sole provider of vegan 'meatballs' in their hugely popular 'Meatless Meatball Marinara', which launched in January 2020 and is available in Subway stores across the UK. The 'Meatless Meatball Marinara' claimed the top spot at 2020 PETA's annual Vegan Food Awards in the Best Vegan Sandwich category.

Wunda

Wunda is 'epic in everything' that you would otherwise use milk for; it is delicious drunk on its own, poured on cereal, used in hot beverages, frothed, cooked and much more.

Made from yellow split peas, Wunda has a neutral, refreshing taste that makes it a great alternative and versatile choice for people who want a plant-based drink that tastes closer to dairy.

Not only does Wunda taste great, it's also nutritious** and sustainably produced and has been certified as carbon neutral by the UK Carbon Trust.

Carnation Vegan

A game changer for those who wish to bake plant-based goods. This alternative condensed milk is made from a blend of oat and rice flour and is certified by the Vegan Society as being suitable for anyone who is following a vegan diet.

What's more, for bakers seeking inspiration this Veganuary, a selection of mouth-watering vegan friendly recipes, including chocolate fudge, pancakes, raspberry cheesecake pots, vanilla cupcakes, lemon fruit tart, coconut macaroons, banoffee pie and more, is available now on the Carnation website.

Nescafé Gold dairy alternative lattes

Nescafé Gold offers dairy alternative lattes in coconut and oat variants. Each of these smooth and creamy-tasting lattes are made with high quality coffee beans that let you savour a coffee shop-style experience at home. Suitable for vegans and certified by The Vegan Society.

Nescafé Dolce Gusto Flat White plant-based pods

Coffee fans can also enjoy vegan-friendly barista-style non-dairy coffee from their pod coffee machine. Nescafé Dolce Gusto Flat White plant-based pods are made with superior coffee blended perfectly with lactose-free alternatives and are available in almond, coconut and oat varieties. The range of plant-based pods is registered by the Vegan Society.
