A Quality Experience

choose your quality street favourites at john lewis

Three years ago, Lucy Clark didn’t think she would be working on a project that included Philip Schofield, Bradley Walsh and Paris Hilton, but that is exactly what happened this year when she played a key role in an exciting new development for Nestlé’s Quality Street.

In 2011, Lucy was an apprentice on the Commercial Apprenticeship scheme for Nestlé Academy, a scheme that helps develop commercial skills and provides opportunities across the business to build up knowledge across a variety of areas of the business. Today Lucy is the Assistant Brand Manager of Quality Street and is able to use what she had learned from her Apprentice Scheme experience to support the brand team on this incredibly exciting project.

Working with teams across the business, various agencies and John Lewis & Partners, Lucy played a part in the launch of the Quality Street pick and mix stations available in some John Lewis stores this year.

Lucy said, “This is a project that has been under wraps for a few months so I’m excited it has finally been revealed. We know people are very passionate about their favourite Quality Street sweets, and so giving shoppers the opportunity to choose their own mix is amazing! It has been an incredible experience being able to lead the project from a brand perspective. It has been an absolute career highlight to date and it’ll take a lot to beat it.

“I’m still on cloud nine after Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield posted about the personalised tins we created for them and seeing the tins featured on This Morning! The media reaction we have received so far has been crazy – we’ve been featured in The Sun, LadBible, Fabulous, The Mirror and there’s more being posted all the time.”
