Nestlé helps Veganuary followers with new arrivals and everyday favourites

Nescafé Gold vegan lattes

Nestlé, the world’s biggest food and drink maker, is supporting Veganuary and the growing band of people eating less meat (flexitarians) with a wide range of products to help British and Irish consumers fully embrace new eating habits.

YES!, Polo and Nescafé Gold vegan lattes

Nestlé has more choice than ever before for people who wish to follow flexitarian and vegan diets but do not wish to compromise on taste and value for money. In a big nod to Nestlé’s recent innovation efforts around plant-based ingredients, Subway UK has picked Nestlé Professional’s Garden Gourmet brand as the sole provider of vegan ‘meatballs’ in their new ‘Meatless Meatball Marinara’ which launched in January 2020 and is available in all Subway stores across the UK.

Food isn’t the only sector meeting fast moving consumer tastes and trends in the UK and Ireland. In 2019, Nescafé, the UK biggest coffee brand, launched Nescafé Gold dairy alternative lattes in oat, coconut and almond variants. Launched in 2019 as a Tesco exclusive, Nescafé Gold dairy alternative lattes are now available in supermarkets and online retailers across the UK and Ireland, and in time for Veganuary, Nescafé Gold dairy alternative lattes are also available via Nestle Professional at wholesalers and online so now consumers can enjoy a vegan latte in their workplace, petrol station or even hotel room. The almond, oat and coconut lattes are all certified by the Vegan Society as suitable for people following a vegan diet and carry the sunflower trademark on pack.

YES! fruit bar raspberry

Nestlé’s confectionery and snacking range also caters for those following or trying out flexitarian or vegan diets. Our classic mint with a hole, Polo, is made with vegan friendly ingredients in original, spearmint and sugar-free formats; and childhood favourite Rowntree’s Jelly Tots too follows a vegan friendly recipe. Nestlé’s healthier snacking YES! fruit bars are also vegan friendly with delicious raspberry and chia seeds and pineapple and coconut variants – and they come wrapped in recyclable paper packaging.
