BUXTON® Water has extended its partnership with Buxton Football Club as the Academy sponsor, in a two-year deal that will deepen the existing relationship and create new opportunities with wider environmental and community benefits.
Building on the success of the partnership since 2019, the sponsorship reflects both partners' long-standing commitments to championing Buxton's young talent, along with supporting and investing in the local community.
As Buxton F.C grows from strength to strength, from the First Team down, the Club continues to set the bar high for its young students. The Academy is focused on ensuring students' time at the Club sees them develop, not just on the pitch with their football skills, but also with their formal education and life skills that will give them a strong foundation for their future careers, whether in sport or otherwise.
The partnership will also see the branding of Britain's No.1 natural mineral water BUXTON®, feature on the Academy team's training wear worn by the youth players throughout the 2022/23 & 2023/24 football seasons.
Warren Plasket, Head of Marketing for Nestlé Waters UK, said: "We believe that people can rise to the top when communities come together. BUXTON®'s commitment to youth is as strong as ever because we recognise the importance of championing and inspiring younger generations on their journey up. Our continued partnership with Buxton Football Club embodies this belief and commitment to our local community.
"We are very proud to extend our support to the Academy. Over the last three years, we have been extremely impressed by what the Academy has achieved and we hope that our extended partnership will enable the Club to continue supporting young athletes to overcome challenges and pursue their goals."
Jennifer McBain, Academy Director, said: "There is a natural synergy between ourselves and BUXTON® Water and we have been delighted to secure the continued support of such a high profile company with well-established links to the town."
"The developments we have overseen at the Club during our partnership have been truly transformational in terms of engagement with the local community and BUXTON® Waters' support has proved invaluable in helping us on our journey," she added.
BUXTON® and its parent company Nestlé Waters UK recently announced that its water bottles are now made entirely from 100% recycled plastic (excluding caps and labels). As part of its ongoing commitment to promote recycling and drive a circular economy for plastics in the UK, Nestlé Waters will provide increasing support for the Academy, players and visitors alike to the Silverlands Stadium about recycling and opportunities to 'rise up and recycle' more often, which is part of the brand's current campaign.
