Lactalis Nestlé Chilled Dairy announces campaign to launch Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg range in the UK to meet consumer demand for healthy products.1
Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg range, Sweden’s no. 1 quark product2, is launching in supermarkets this month. High protein yogurt and quark (a dairy product popular in Northern Europe) have become increasingly popular for the health-conscious consumer, with sales increasing 22% YoY3, and nearly half of 18-34-year olds in the UK adopting a healthier diet4.
In response to this growing consumer trend, Nestlé has brought the Lindahls Kvarg range to the UK, which includes Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Single Pots, Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Natural and Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Drinks.
Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Single Pots
Available in three flavours – Vanilla, Raspberry, Peach and Passion Fruit – the new Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg 150g pots contain 17g of protein per pot (34% of RI5) but are also low-sugar and fat-free. Developed to help contribute to a balanced, healthier diet, the new single pots are ideal as a snack to get a protein boost after a workout.
All three products are available now in the chilled yogurts aisle at Asda. Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Raspberry and Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Vanilla are also available at Waitrose and Ocado. RRP £0.95*.
Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Natural
Available in a 500g pot, Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Natural has been created for the whole family to enjoy plain, or as an alternative to Greek yogurt or cream cheese. Low sugar, fat free and with 30g of protein per ½ pot (60% of RI5) Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Natural is available in the chilled yogurts aisle at Asda, Waitrose and Ocado now. RRP £2.49*.
Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Drinks
Available in two flavours – Peach & Passion Fruit, Raspberry & Vanilla – the new products are available in 330ml bottles and contain 23g of protein per bottle. Perfect for those who enjoy an active lifestyle, the new drinks can be used as an alternative to protein shakes, or as part of a balanced diet. As well as being high in protein, the Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Drinks are low fat and lactose free6.
Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg Drinks are now available in the chilled aisle at Asda. RRP £1.50*.
Paul Wiseman, Marketing Manager at Lactalis Nestlé UK says, “We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing Sweden’s favourite quark product to UK consumers. Insights show us that the healthier living trend shows no sign of slowing down, and we hope the Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg range will offer something truly delicious for consumers to enjoy as part of this lifestyle. Whether in the gym, at home, in the office, or on-the-go, our new products have something for everyone. We can’t wait for people to try them and tell us what they think!”
Janet Aylott, nutritionist says, “Protein is an essential nutrient in our diets. As part of a varied diet and healthy lifestyle, protein contributes to the maintenance of our muscles, and is also important for bone health too. Every cell and tissue in the body contains protein, therefore protein is essential for growth and repair, with a large proportion of protein in our bodies found in muscle (around 43%). Protein is an important source of energy in the diet, providing up to 15% of our calorie intake, and is the second most abundant compound in the body after water. The new Nestlé Lindahls Kvarg range is a great addition to the balanced diet and healthy lifestyle more of us are aiming for.”
