Nestlé Waters brand Buxton natural mineral water has picked up an award in The Drum's Social Media Awards 2022, following its campaign that put a spotlight on the resilience stories of London Marathon runners.
The team won the Best Use of Facebook category for The Rise Up Runners 2022, TCS London Marathon campaign.
As the official water sponsor of the race, Buxton Water gave people the opportunity to share their stories for a chance to win one of eight places to run in this year's marathon.
Out of 5,567 applicants, eight unique winners were chosen and formed Buxton's 'Rise Up Runners' team.
Over a four-week period, the campaign followed them during gruelling training sessions. The brand showed its support by sharing their inspiring stories on social media.
To celebrate the final countdown to Marathon day, Buxton shared the athletes' achievements and reasons for taking part.
The Drum's Social Media Awards recognise and reward the most talented people, agencies and social media campaigns from around the world.
