Quality Street, the beloved British confectionery brand, is bringing back fan favourite Coffee Creme exclusively to John Lewis and Waitrose for the festive period.

After more than 20 years, Quality Street fans can experience the indulgent coffee flavour fondant wrapped in dark chocolate in stores starting from 20th September at Waitrose.

In November 2021, Quality Street asked the nation what their favourite retro sweet was. It was revealed that Coffee Creme was the number one most-loved retro sweet. The sweet gained 39% of the vote.

“We’ve been keeping the exciting news of the return of the Coffee Creme tightly under wraps so it’s a huge relief to finally share it with Quality Street fans across the UK,” said Quality Street Brand Manager, Samantha Hirst. “We know it was the one that fans were keen to bring back when we asked the nation back in 2021, so it’s safe to say that we’re anticipating we’ll see some smiling faces at the news!”

In addition to the return of the Coffee Creme, shoppers can create their own bespoke collection of favourites from the 12 tasty sweets in this year's pick and mix assortment at John Lewis. Whether it's a tin full of Green Triangles or a carefully curated selection of family favourites, shoppers can refill their own John Lewis bought tins or purchase an exclusive special edition that can be personalised. Pick and mix crackers will also be returning for 2023.

"We’re delighted to be back in John Lewis with our pick and mix stations for 2023. It’s a lovely touch that shoppers can also personalise their tins*, making them an exceptional gift for the festive season," added Samantha Hirst.

To celebrate the return of the pick and mix stations and the festive season, John Lewis will offer brand-new limited-edition Quality Street glass baubles and a brand-new pick and mix advent calendar for fans to fill with their favourites for the countdown to Christmas. Quality Street fans also can grab a festive selfie at the themed photo wall, which will be at selected John Lewis stores.

Lisa Cherry, Christmas Buyer at John Lewis, said: "Our customers love the pick and mix Quality Street stations at John Lewis, so we're delighted to be welcoming this back into select shops along with the exclusive Coffee Creme. We know everyone is going to be very excited about this iconic return and we wanted to make it as accessible as possible. So customers will be able to shop the Coffee Creme Cracker and an advent calendar featuring the fan favourite in both John Lewis and Waitrose. I know what I am putting on my Christmas list!"

The pick and mix station at John Lewis's flagship Oxford Street store will open on 27th September, with other participating stores following throughout October. The John Lewis/Waitrose Exclusive Advent Calendar and Coffee Crème Cracker will be available in Waitrose from 20th September 2023.
