Nestlé Dalston, the home of Nescafé Frothy Coffee, hosted 'Nestival', a fun filled family day on Saturday, 20th September, at the Dalston Show Field. The celebration brought together 470 Nestlé Dalston employees and their families for a gathering filled with activities designed to entertain and foster community spirit.

The festivities kicked off with live music from The Anthems, a local five-piece band that energised the crowd throughout the day. The band not only performed but also engaged children with interactive entertainment, ensuring smiles all around despite the rainy weather. A DJ kept the lively atmosphere going, providing the perfect soundtrack for this memorable event.

Nestlé’s partner, First Milk, a dairy farmer cooperative that supplies milk to the Dalston factory, hosted Smart STEM, a stand brimming with exciting milk-based activities for children. Stands from Andy’s Man Club and Carlisle Key highlighted community support, both dedicated to helping young adults at risk of homelessness. Carlisle Key also organised craft activities for children, fostering creativity and community engagement.

Adding to the excitement, attendees had the chance to meet Connor the Coffee Bean, dressed in a whimsical costume, who sold balloons to raise funds for charity. Children enjoyed an interactive game, "Have You Seen the Bean?" and participated in a variety of themed activities, including corn hole games, arcade basketball, and a cozy craft/quiet corner.

Naomi Foster, Site Administration & Communications Officer at Nestlé Dalston and the mastermind behind this event, said: "Nestival was a fantastic opportunity for our employees and their families to come together, have fun, and strengthen our community bonds. We were thrilled to celebrate with everyone, and despite the rain, everyone had a great time!”

'Nestival' was a resounding success, leaving attendees with cherished memories and a deeper sense of community connection.

Nestlé Dalston has been making Nescafé Frothy Coffee products since 1962. The factory was originally built in Cumbria due to its proximity to dairy farms which provide the sustainable fresh milk needed to produce 25 million Nescafé Cappuccino and Frothy Coffees sachets every week.
