Back to Press releases

•    Jason Fox appointed the ‘golden handler’ to oversee the safe delivery of the first consignment of Nestlé’s new Golden Collection range
•    The sweet-toothed former special forces operative botches the job and snacks on the golden goods he’s supposed to be safe-guarding
•    Story brought to life in new heist movie spoof
•    New Golden Collection range – comprising Aero, Milkybar, Munchies and Smarties – is in stores now (just keep them away from Foxy).

He’s ventured into some of the most hostile environments on earth to rescue helpless hostages, carried out untold covert surveillance missions, and protected some of the most powerful people in the world.

Now Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox, star of the Channel 4 smash hit series ‘SAS: who Dares Wins’ has pivoted into ‘very important chocolate protection’ in a one-off tongue-in-cheek contract role.

Dubbed the Golden Handler, Foxy was appointed by Nestlé to oversee the safe delivery of the first consignment of its new Golden Collection range to an ASDA supermarket in London.

While the intimidating presence of the ex-Special Forces operative deterred any bad guys from making a move on the golden chocolate consignment, the drop did not go to plan. Foxy snaffled the very Golden AERO, MILKYBAR, MUNCHIES and SMARTIES he was supposed to be protecting.

Foxy’s shameful saga is played out in a comedic short film that riffs on classic heist movies. In the first half of the film, he is shown taking delivery of a gleaming golden briefcase containing the delectable chocolate, which is handcuffed to his wrist, before stepping into the back of coruscating gold-covered armoured security van.

The van is shown making its way through the streets of the capital before arriving at ‘the drop’ point, namely an ASDA store in London.

It’s here that the golden briefcase is handed to the store manager, who opens it to check the ‘merch’ – only to become perplexed when he finds the products inside have been opened. From there the film re-starts and we’re shown what REALLY happened en-route to store.

We see the Golden Handler cracking into his golden briefcase and munching away, unaware that he’s being recorded by the van’s security cameras.

Foxy said:  ‘During my time in the special forces and being in high pressure situations, I thought I was the perfect person to ensure this job was done without a hitch. This one didn’t, and I’m aware I haven’t covered myself in glory. If the Golden Collection wasn’t so delicious then that briefcase wouldn’t have been tampered with’.

A Nestlé spokesperson added, ‘We thought we got the best in the business, but Foxy was more Golden Muncher than Golden Handler. Given his past and the size of those biceps, we certainly weren’t going to try to take the chocolate back off him.

‘On the plus side, he was the first person in the country to try the Golden Collection, and it couldn’t have gone down any better. Literally. The products are available now in stores across the country and I’d urge the public to purchase them and try for themselves, before Foxy gets there first.

Fans of Nestlé’s Golden Collection can enter a competition to win a number of Golden Collection treats straight from The Golden Handler himself. To enter, please visit the AERO website here.
