Bubbly chocolate brand, Aero, has issued an urgent notice after discovering that a bubble breach at its York factory has led to bubble-less Aeros making their way onto shelves across the UK and Ireland.
The well-known chocolate maker is making good on this mishap by offering £10,000 cash prizes for bubble-less packs bought in stores.
Aero enthusiasts are also encouraged to verify that their bars and packs do in fact have bubbles by entering on the Aero website to be in with the chance of snagging £100 in the daily prize draws.
The secret behind the brand’s signature bubbles has been closely guarded for years, but in light of this serious bubble breach, Nestlé has decided to release CCTV footage showing the bubbles making their escape from the bars in the Aero factory. On-site engineers confirmed that while the packs had passed all quality checks and are safe to eat, the exact cause of the bubble breach remains a mystery.
Emily Lord, Senior Brand Manager for Aero, said: “Creating our deliciously bubbly chocolate is a top priority and we’re hoping Aero fans across the UK & Ireland can help us find the bubble-less packs as soon as possible.”
She added: “If anyone finds a bubble-less pack, please reach out to us right away, and don’t forget to keep your receipt and winning insert!”
The winning packs are said to contain Aero products that weigh and feel the same as their bubbly counterparts. As of now, however, no bubble-less packs have been discovered. Let the hunt begin!
