Nestlé Ireland Citywest took part in the ‘Feeding Ireland’s Future’ initiative recently whereby retailers, suppliers and service providers to the Irish food and grocery sector give free pre-employment skills training to early school leavers and young unemployed people. Nestlé has been a participating member since the initiative was first established in 2014 and since then almost 4,500 young people have benefitted from the sessions, hosted by over one hundred companies.

During ‘Skills for Work Month’, Nestlé Ireland took part in an event in Tallaght Stadium that welcomed young people from the local area to avail of a range of pre-employment skills and guidance. Nestlé Ireland provided support to almost 70 young people with one to one sessions on CV writing and interview skills. Staff from the Nestlé Citywest campus also gave the young people an insight into their own careers, how they started and what interested them about the food sector as an employment choice.
