Nestlé announces global launch of Starbucks range

Nestlé has unveiled a new range of Starbucks branded coffee products, the first since the two companies formally joined forces in August 2018 under a global coffee alliance.

The new range consists of 24 products and is being introduced in a number of markets over the coming days. It includes a variety of Starbucks blends and single-origin coffees as well as a selection of coffee shop favourites such as Latte Macchiato and Cappuccino. All of the products are made from 100% high-quality Arabica coffee that is ethically sourced from farmers in the world’s premier coffee growing regions.

In the UK and Ireland, initial products, that will go on sale from next week, will include whole bean, roast and ground coffee as well as Starbucks pods developed for Nescafé Dolce Gusto machines. Starbucks by Nescafé Dolce Gusto products are being manufactured at Nestlé’s coffee factory in Tutbury, Derbyshire and can now be recycled across the UK thanks to the introduction of a partnership with CollectPlus. Pods purchased from the online webshop are now supplied with a pink recycling bag which can be returned to more than 7,000 CollectPlus drop-off points around the country.

Through the global coffee alliance, Nestlé has the perpetual rights to market Starbucks Consumer Packaged Goods and Foodservice coffee and tea products around the world, outside of Starbucks coffee houses and excluding Ready-to-Drink products.
