Nestlé UK & Ireland has been named for the second consecutive year as a top business for gender equality.

The annual Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality 2024, published by The Times newspaper and Business in the Community (BITC), has recognised Nestlé for its work.

Aiming to highlight employers who are making gender equality part of their business strategy at all levels, the list is the UK’s most established catalogue of employers taking action. Now in its 14th year, inclusion on the list recognises progress and shows examples of best practices, impact, innovation and individual achievement.

CEO for Nestlé UK and Ireland, Richard Watson, said:

“I’m absolutely delighted we have been recognised as a Times Top 50 Employer for Gender Equality for the second year running.

Our ambition at Nestlé is to make a positive difference to people, pets, our planet and communities.  We need people of all genders with different perspectives and ideas to enable us to do this. Achieving top 50 status spurs us on and is a fantastic opportunity to review our progress and identify where we can do more.

We have the opportunity to learn from others’ experiences and share ideas, it also helps us to attract talented people to work with us. We’re committed to offering a culture where everyone can achieve their full potential and thrive within our organisation but we’re also aware we have more to do to balance representation across teams and we know this will take time.

Most importantly, I am proud of the recognition for the work that our colleagues are doing across our business, and I thank each and every person for their contribution.”
