The Grocer, the leading weekly publication for the industry, announced its top products for 2020 on Saturday (December 19th), and two Nestlé products picked up accolades. The first vegan Carnation product is made from a blend of oat and rice flour and has been certified by the Vegan Society.

Assistant brand manager Daniela Campanaro said: “We are thrilled and honoured to win this award with The Grocer. It has been exciting to launch the Carnation Vegan Condensed Milk Alternative and bring the plant-based, dairy-free trend straight into the kitchen for home baking. This year has seen more people become interested in exploring plant-based options especially when experimenting in baking.”

Nescafé Gold Blend also landed the prize for “Hot Beverage Top Campaign of the Year” for the TV campaign which hit TVs, social media and in stores in September.

Senior brand manager Holly Fergusson said: “We are so excited to have been recognised for this campaign that reached 96% of the UK population. It really has revitalised Nescafé Gold Blend in the hearts and minds of the nation at a time when being at home with a coffee has been so important.”
