Marketing signs up to reduce climate impact

Marketers at Nestlé UK and Ireland have joined an initiative to reduce their carbon emissions.

The Ad Net Zero programme, part of the Advertising Association, helps provide action and advice for advertising professionals on how to take clear, practical climate action in their working lives.

In signing up for the commitment, advertisers and marketers working in Nestlé UK&I can access guidance on how to measure and reduce carbon emissions and make lasting change to advertising and its impact on the climate.

Steve Pollack, Head of Media Communications said: "We're really excited to be joining this initiative as we move through our sustainability journey across the whole of the business. It will give us the chance to talk to other advertisers and share ideas on actions to curb carbon emissions in the industry."

This follows on from news earlier this year that the company will use 100% recycled paper for its paper based advertising. Another step in marketing showing their commitment is doing what they can do tackle climate change.
