Liz Read, Company Nutritionist at Nestlé UK & Ireland, took home the award for Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist of the Year at the 2023 Food and Drink Federation Awards.
The awards celebrate excellence in the food and drink industry. This award is given to individuals who have made contributed efforts to support diet and health initiatives over a sustained period or to be a promising new entrant to the industry.
Liz has been recognised as a key individual who has championed the Nestlé strategy aim of its food and drinks to be tasty, nutritious, sustainable, and accessible and affordable to everyone, across all life stages. She has also worked across the UK industry to improve efficiency of the reporting of High Fat, Salt and Sugar (HFSS) data.
Speaking after the awards, Liz said: “I am honoured to have received the Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist of the Year award. I work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team across many food and drink products that consumers in the UK and Ireland know and love. We work continuously to improve the final products that end up on shop shelves.”
