Over the weekend, Nestlé Tutbury held its final community event of the summer after a successful run of fun-filled days throughout the season. The Country Fair and Duck Race is the community’s biggest event of the year; jam packed with activities for the public to enjoy.

A family event, the day is held to welcome locals and family households from the Tutbury and Hatton and surrounding areas. A day to catch up with one another, take part in activities and enjoy complimentary Nestlé family-favourite products.

Hosting around one thousand people, the event provides offerings from more than 30 artisan stores, and a wide range of craft activities for all the family. Face painting, bubble art, and an animal farm are just a few of the wonderful activities that were on offer over the weekend.

Community days such as this cement the local pride people have in the village, brimmed with heritage and expertise that has kept the factory going for more than 120 years.. They help make Nestlé what it is today.

The employees of Tutbury factory are the local heroes making these events happen. Jane Downes, Tutbury Factory Staff Shop Assistant from Nestlé Tutbury, has been organising this event for four years, including the Bees and Butterflies family day that was held at Nestlé Tutbury’s Nescafé factory in August.

Jane said: “It was a great day in Tutbury, welcoming friends, families and employees from across the area to get together and have fun. It is important to me that Nestlé Tutbury remains a place that values its community.”
