Nestlé UK & Ireland signs the C-19 Business Pledge

Nestlé Gatwick

Nestlé UK & Ireland has signed the C-19 Business Pledge. Launched by former Cabinet Minister, Rt Hon Justine Greening and entrepreneur David Harrison, and working in conjunction with businesses across the UK, this initiative looks to help mobilise corporate efforts towards tackling Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The aim is to encourage UK businesses and universities to demonstrate that they are a force for good by making a commitment to help tackle Coronavirus in three areas: for their employees, their customers, and their communities. It is targeting not just the immediate challenges of COVID-19 but also the issues faced during recovery.

The initiative has received the backing of more than 200 organisations representing over 2.2 million employees and students. Alongside these businesses, the pledge has received support from over 30 cross-party MPs.

Nestlé UK & Ireland CEO, Stefano Agostini: “It is absolutely right that businesses like ours are supporting the response to this ongoing crisis and preparing for the action needed once it is over. We are pledging to support our people through this difficult period, to continue supplying the nation with vital food and drink and to being part of a collective corporate response to this crisis.”

“Collaboration is vital and I thank those behind this initiative for bringing a huge collection of UK employers together as one.”
