Nestlé Purina PetCare announces partnership with Independent Vetcare Group International

Nestlé Purina PetCare EMENA has announced today a partnership with Independent Vetcare Group International (IVC Group). In parallel, Nestlé will acquire a minority shareholding in IVC Group.

IVC Group is Europe’s largest veterinary services group with a network of more than 1,100 vet clinics and hospitals across ten countries. More than two million pet owners rely on its practices.

Through the partnership, Nestlé Purina will strengthen its collaboration with scientists, veterinarians and pet care professionals to help deliver advanced pet food solutions and first-class pet care services. Deeper knowledge of pets´ and pet owners’ needs will enhance Nestlé Purina’s ability to develop innovative products and solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of cats and dogs.

For Nestlé Purina, this is a further step in building an ecosystem with partners and experts who help promote pet health and pet wellbeing. This move will also help broaden Nestlé Purina’s expertise in the area of premium pet care solutions. Ultimately, this partnership reinforces the company’s purpose and commitment to enrich the lives of pets and the people who love them. IVC Group will be able to leverage the expertise of Nestlé Purina as a leading expert in pet health, pet nutrition and scientific innovation. IVC Group will also gain access to Nestlé Purina’s unique product offering to support their leading-edge veterinary care.

Nestlé´s acquisition of the minority shareholding in IVC Group is subject to regulatory approval. Upon completion, IVC Group will continue to operate as an independent business. No terms of this agreement will be disclosed.
