Nestlé UK and Ireland has decided, as a precautionary measure, to voluntarily recall all cans of SMA Wysoy 800g with the below batch details as some cans have been found to contain pieces of blue plastic used to make the scoops.
Eight batches, including the three which were subject to the original recall notice on 26th March 2021, are affected by this recall:
We acted with urgency to initiate the recall because the health and safety of babies are paramount.
We have continued to thoroughly investigate the root cause, and there is now reason to believe that some additional batches might also be affected. Since the safety of our consumers is our key priority, we have taken the precautionary approach and have decided to recall these further batches of SMA Wysoy.
No other SMA or Nestlé products are affected by this voluntary recall.
Parents who feed their baby SMA Wysoy should look on the base of any cans at the best before dates or batch codes to see if they are from an affected batch.
If you have a can from one of the affected batches, please do not feed your baby with it.
