Last night Nestlé attended the School Leaver Awards, held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in London. We were delighted to be recognised with the award for Best Level of Employee Support, recognising the support provide to school leaver employees.
The award was judged through employee satisfaction surveys completed by apprentices and school leavers currently completing their programmes. At Nestlé the support we provide includes centralised pastoral management and internal buddy and mentoring systems, as well as strong relationships with education and training providers. Apprentices are also supported through functional Academy champions who, alongside dedicated HR support ensure suitable placements for individuals’ career and development plans.
We think awards like this help young people to make more informed decisions about their future careers, providing them with an insight into the priorities of many different employers. Support and development is important to Nestlé and the Nestlé Academy helps us to focus on the recruitment, development and support of entry-level employees, including apprentices and graduates.
We’re proud that the time and care we invest in supporting our Apprentices has been felt by them and reflected in their survey responses, and that the dedication of many who support and develop them has been recognised through this award.
