Nestlé UK wins at the 2018 Food and Drink Federation Awards

fdf awards 2018

Nestlé in the UK is celebrating after it picked up the best Education Initiative Award for the ‘Nestlé Academy Campus Team Initiative’ at the prestigious FDF Awards, a celebration of the UK’s food and drink manufacturing industry.

The awards event at the Royal Lancaster in London was hosted by Jay Rayner, food journalist for The Observer and was attended by 500 industry guests.

Lizzie Hendon, Commercial Apprentice and Campus Team Captain of the Year for the Campus Team Initiative collected the Prize on behalf of team Nestlé and said: “It’s wonderful to receive this recognition from our industry peers. Our Initiative involves Nestlé’s apprentices and graduates designing, planning and leading engagement activity with schools, colleges, and universities to help inspire the next generation of talent for Nestlé’s business and industry. It’s been a tremendously successful approach, with students responding really enthusiastically after hearing first-hand the experiences of their contemporaries already at Nestlé.”
