In just over two years, Nestlé employees from across the UK have raised in excess of a quarter of a million pounds for charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.

That’s a lot of cakes donated, bought (and eaten!), many miles walked, run, swam, rowed and cycled; and lots of dancing at charity balls raffles! It is this enthusiasm from employees that has led Nestlé to extend its partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support for another year. So, that’s twelve more months to get to the next big fundraising milestone, which will get a major boost in September with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

With over 100 years experience of helping people through cancer, Macmillan help people living with cancer get the support they need to take care of their health, protect their personal relationships and deal with money and work worries.

Every penny raised through the partnership helps to change lives. The money raised so far could help run a large Macmillan information and support centre for nearly two and a half years, potentially helping people affected by cancer to find information and support.

It could also fund four Macmillan nurses for over a year, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

Hannah Hickman, Partnership Manager, Macmillan Cancer Support says:

‘A huge thank you to everyone across Nestlé for all your energy and hard work over the last two years. We’re thrilled to have reached this £250,000 milestone together, and we are looking forward to another year in partnership. With your support Macmillan can help even more people living with cancer to life their lives fully.’
