Nestlé UK & Ireland CEO and Chairman takes part in Speakers for Schools

On Monday 24th June, Fiona Kendrick, Chairman & CEO, Nestlé UK, joined other business leaders who have signed up to ‘Speakers for Schools’ to talk to 180 Year 12 students at Hazelwick School in Three Bridges, Crawley, a short distance from Nestlé’s head office.

‘Speakers for Schools’ is an initiative that brings enthusiastic, knowledgeable and authoritative speakers who are leaders in their respective fields into state secondary schools and colleges, free of charge. Speakers are from a wide range of backgrounds and include CBI President, Dame Helen Alexander, Ex-Asda Chairman and CEO Andy Bond and Dominic Barton, Global MD of McKinsey and Company.

Fiona, who joined Nestlé as a graduate, gave a personal account of how she forged a successful international business career, the skills required that were required and the challenges she overcame. Fiona also talked about the opportunities within the food and beverage industry, highlighting the inspiring and fulfilling careers that the sector has to offer.

"Fiona's visit was an enriching experience for our students.  Fiona's willingness to share her own experiences and unique perspective on international business and careers opened our students’ eyes to the exciting possibilities ahead of them." Danielle Mills (Head of Year 12)

"To hear that Fiona was undecided about her career path when she started out, and yet has still managed to achieve so much, was particularly prominent for me." Luke Deamer (Year 12 student)
