NESTLÉ AND EDUCATION

From explaining simple label information to supporting children throughout their schooling, there's more to Nestlé than the brands we produce. Nestlé acknowledges its role in helping consumers to make healthier lifestyle choices – not only by improving the nutritional content of our products and providing clear nutrition information on our packaging but also by supporting improved education about healthy eating.

PhunkyFoods

Nestlé supports PhunkyFoods, an independent curriculum-based programme teaching primary school children key healthy eating and physical activity messages through art, drama, music, play and hands-on food experience. Partnering with the PhunkyFoods’ programme supports our local communities, where we have offices and factories, by helping many children start out in life with a better understanding of healthy eating and the importance of an active and balanced lifestyle. Blossom

Blossom

Nestlé has partnered with Allergy UK to develop Blossom; a campaign to stop the social exclusion of children with allergies and provide information, advice and support for carers (parents, childminders, teachers or voluntary group leaders).  The Blossom Campaign will improve access to education and information for those who care for children with allergy.  For more information visit: http://www.blossomcampaign.org/

The Times 100 Business Case Studies

The Times 100 Business Case Studies are a well regarded resource for business studies teachers and students.  Nestlé UK has participated in these case studies for 12 years now.  Use of real business scenarios helps students to translate theory into practice.  The case studies are distributed to schools and colleges and are also available online.  For more go to http://www.times100.co.uk/
