CHILLED MEATS
The name 'Herta' comes from the German town of Herten, where Ludwig Schweisforth opened his first butchers shop. In 1902, this local shop became a meat production factory. The Herta brand was created in 1947 and, by 1963, spread across Europe. The brand was acquired by Nestlé in 1986, and subsequently launched into the UK market in 1988. By 2000, Herta was the number one brand for Frankfurters in the UK, with over 150 million being sold in this country alone.

Salami is a dry cured fermented sausage. Microbes are added to the meat (which is never cooked) which, after a period of time, produce an acid giving the meat a slightly acidic taste.
Frankfurters can be eaten straight from the packet but, to be on the safe side, we suggest cooking first. The range consists of:
- Herta Frankfurters
- Frankfurter Dinky Dogs
- Frankfurter Balls
- Frankfurter Chicken
- Parisian Smoked Ham
- Parisian Ham
