Nestargel is a natural thickening agent  made of vegetable origin.

Nestargel is used in the dietary management of infant or adult vomiting, and is also used for the thickening of foods and beverages for culinary purposes, without greatly affecting the nutrient balance or energy intake.

Nestargel is made from Carob seed flour, Calcium and also contains poly-saccharides. 

Nestargel is not a nutritionally complete product and should always be used under medical supervision.

Please wash hands thoroughly
 
Thickening of Infant Formula Powder
* In a small saucepan put the quantity of cold water required for feed

* Sprinkle on the Nestargel powder (1 scoop per 100ml), and beat thoroughly with a whisk.

* Place over a low heat and bring gently to the boil - (stirring continuously)

* Keep at boiling point for 1 minute, lifting pan from heat occasionally if forming lumps in the mixture.

* Allow to cool, then add the baby milk powder, beating vigorously until it absorbs into mixture and becomes a smooth consistency - before transfering to a sterilised feeding bottle

*Always check temperature before feeding - (allow a few drops on your wrist forearm - if it is too hot allow to cool so more)
 
Breast-Feeding
One tablespoon of Nestargel suspension is given before or during each feed - to mix the Nestargel suspension feed following the following steps


* Put 100ml of cold water into a small saucepan.

* Sprinkle on 1 level scoop of Nestargel powder, and beat thoroughly with a whisk.

* Place over a low heat and bring gently to the boil - (stirring continuously).

* Keep at boiling point for 1 minute, lifting pan from heat occasionally if forming lumps in the mixture.

* Allow feeding to cool. Always check temperature before feed - (allow a few drops on your wrist forearm - if it is too hot allow to cool so more)
 
Thickening fresh milk or ready-to-feed liquid
* In a small saucepan, put the quantity of milk or ready-to-feed liquid required for the feed.

* Sprinkle on the Nestargel powder (1 scoop per 100ml), and beat thoroughly with a whisk.

* Place over a low heat and bring gently to the boil - (stirring continuously).

* Keep at boiling point for 1 minute, lifting pan from heat occasionally if forming lumps in the mixture.

* Allow to cool before transfering to a sterilised bottle

* Always check temperature before feed - (allow a few drops on your wrist forearm - if it is too hot allow to cool so more)
