EATING OUT
Eating out doesn’t have to be a reason to deviate from your diet. Most menus have healthy options - the following tips will help you find them.
- Avoid fried foods or those coated in batter or breadcrumbs.
- Choose vegetable-based sauces and avoid creamy ones.
- When ordering, ask for sauce or butter to be served separately.
- Grilled fish is a really healthy option.
- Choose leaner meats like chicken over fatty meats like lamb.
- Order a side portion of salad or vegetables if they don’t already come with the meal.
- Choose sorbet rather than ice cream or share a dessert.
- Don’t starve yourself throughout the day before you go to the restaurant. You’ll be more likely to choose unhealthy options and overeat.
- Eat slowly and enjoy your food.
