Caloreen is a neutral tasting glucose polymer powder. Caloreen can be used as a source of extra carbohydrate to provide additional energy for fluid restricted diets or where energy needs cannot be met with liquid supplements.

How long will Caloreen powder keep for?

It should be discarded one month after opening. Refer to the shelf-life date for unopened cans.

Is Caloreen suitable for Diabetes?

Caloreen is derived from enzymic hydrolysis of cornstarch. Less than 3% is present as free glucose. The mean chain length is 5 glucose units. Caloreen should therefore be used under Dietetic supervision for people with Diabetes.
What is the osmolality of Caloreen in solution?

10% solution is 96mOsmol/kg.
