BUXTON WATER in Society

Proudly from Buxton, from the heart of the Peak District, it doesn’t get more British than BUXTON Natural Mineral Water.

Naturally pumped up BUXTON Water doesn’t do things by halves. Rainfall to bottle takes 5000 years, as it’s slowly filtered downwards through a mile of Derbyshire limestone. By the time it’s naturally pumped up, it’s crisp and delicious - so it’s well worth waiting for.

Nestlé Waters takes pride in helping its local communities and the environment with a variety of initiatives.

The approach to Creating Shared Value at Nestlé Waters UK is through the ripple effect. Nestlé Waters believes that the good work they do begins with them, and then reaches out to their customers, the community, the society and the world.  Their work in this area focuses on promoting healthy hydration as part of a healthy lifestyle, continuously developing their people and ensuring sustainable operations.

The company has invested over £35million in a state-of-the-art factory in Buxton and produces one of the lightest weight bottled water products in the UK, using an average of 25 per cent less PET plastic across the range of Buxton and Nestlé Pure Life. The factory recently achieved BREEAM Excellent for sustainable building and design and has been independently audited as zero waste to landfill.
