PLANNING
Planning is all about understanding the huge range of factors that influence product demand and interpreting information to develop robust plans. You’ll do more than create agreed sales forecast or business plans; you’ll find yourself deciding where and when products are made, and where they need to be sent.
Interacting with a range of contacts, both within and outside of our business, this is a very varied and hugely rewarding area. On an operational level you will be working with Demand and Supply planning, Customer Service and Distribution. On a strategic level you will be working with Supply Chain and E-Business Development. Literally from ‘farm to fork’, you will be accountable for making sure our products get to market and ensuring that stretching objectives are realised.
Your experience within Demand and Supply Planning will enable you to make tough decisions with serious consequences as these decisions help keep the whole organisation running like clockwork.
Accurately formulating weekly and monthly Demand and Supply plans and project managing the introduction of new products and pack changes may be part of your day-to-day activities and you will be afforded a high degree of responsibility early on, in these largely autonomous roles. Therefore, an overriding desire to not only achieve objectives, but to exceed them, will be necessary for success.
These roles will require you to be many things; attentive to detail whilst at the same time having the ability to make sound decisions under extreme pressure; systematic and process driven, you will also be flexible and able to think laterally regarding problems; able to self-motivate and strive towards individual goals, you will balance this ability with a desire to support your colleagues.
