MODERN APPRENTICESHIPS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Nestlé Modern Apprenticeship Scheme will give you a great start in life. Over the course of two years, you will work within one of our specialist business areas, gaining the skills and experience (not to mention the regular salary) that will be important to your career. At the same time we’ll support you as you work towards a professional qualification – an NVQ in Business Administration. And that’s just one of the benefits we offer, to read more about these check out the main site for more information.
After the two years are up, we hope you’ll want to stay. But here’s the tough bit – you’ll need to apply for a role within Nestlé, in the same way as anyone else. There are no guarantees – but if you’re bright and proactive, and you’ve proved yourself, the opportunities to succeed are endless.
First, take a look at the following areas, see where you fit into our business and apply stating the particular area that interests you and quote the relevant reference number.
Product Technology Centre - 3203AM
Here at the PTC we are responsible for developing new confectionery products, packaging and processes for Nestlé markets worldwide. Working with the Management Services Team you will be assisting with general administration and helping the library to provide support to our international staff, sourced for their scientific and engineering expertise from all over the world.
Duties will involve organising meetings and agendas, receiving visitors and contractors, receptionist duties, ordering books and sourcing publications and dealing with user enquiries. You will be helping to provide a valuable service ensuring that no two days will be the same.
Consumer Services - 3113AM
Our reputation depends on the contribution of everyone, especially the work of our Consumer Services team. We take calls from consumers on any kind of issue, on any of our products. There are 40 people here – and the place is normally very busy indeed. You will provide administrative support such as sorting out post, filing, running errands, and doing a lot of different jobs to keep the team running smoothly. Of course, you’ll need an aptitude for Customer Service, and you could grow into a call centre role or take on bigger responsibilities. Because of the customer-facing nature of the team, you’ll quickly get a good grasp of our whole business and our products.
Group Supply Chain
Customer Services - 3101AM
Vehicle Scheduling - 3102AM
The processing and delivery of orders to our customers is an extremely important function within Nestlé UK. If we do not get the Nestlé products to the local supermarket or corner shop how will consumers buy them? Within this process there are several functions which all have a part to play, including Customer Service and Vehicle Scheduling. Both areas require good communication skills, the ability to prioritise work, attention to detail and a strong team working ethic.
Both areas are fast moving and no day is ever the same. The Customer Service role could involve such tasks as taking orders, helping to ensure the correct stock is available, direct communication with the customer and dealing with any problems that may occur. The Vehicle Scheduling role could include such tasks as liaising with transport providers, planning vehicle routes and picking up and acting on issues that may occur. Both roles are very central to the Nestlé business and will give a good knowledge of our products and how the business works.
